Epistemics can provide various research services for its customers and collaborators. Here are some examples of research projects on which Epistemics have been involved:
IPAS:
IPAS (Integrated Products and Services) is a £2.3 million project funded by the UK Government
(Department of Trade and Industry) and Rolls-Royce plc. IPAS will develop a Knowledge Desktop that is used to support the integration of
new service design, new product design and the operation of existing products and services in the field.
Pegasus:
The EU-funded PEGASUS project will develop a new and highly innovative methodology for SMEs working in the automotive industry, specifically aimed at
integrating engineering and new processing concepts.
Geodise:
Geodise is an EPSRC funded project which aims to produce a grid based system to perform design optimisation in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD).
MyGrid:
MyGrid is a bioinformatics project led by the University of Manchester. Epistemics are providing software and consultancy as part of our role as an industrial partner in the project.
Updater and Certification:
These projects provided a framework for developing and certifying Knowledge-Based Systems.
Digitisation:
This project investigated the impact of Battlespace Digitisation in the context of naval defence, and assessed how knowledge-based systems could support this.
